This is a story

About children who sell flowers by a holy river in india, Yaumuna Maiya. It is a holy river where many spiritual pilgrims come to offer obeisance in the form of a candle light surrounded by rose petals and marigolds.

They are magical children who know a lot about the world but don't get a proper education because of economic disparity and a number of other things-- But they are very smart and they are highly creative. We want to teach them art and teach art to other kids around the world because it will probably make the world a better place.

It's called 'Lavender Jaq' because when I met the Yamuna Kids I used to call my Grammie, Jacqueline, on the phone and tell her all about them. Her favorite color was Lavender so I named this project in her memory. My other grandma, Inga, knits a hat every day, so we collaborated to make 'Jaq Hats'.

Proceeds from Lavender Jaq go towards art education for children and the dream to inspire creativity, beauty, and simple happiness in our cross-cultural communities.
