Lesson 2 banner.png

Hi Every Buddy!

Hope each of you has had a fabulous time mixing colors and making shapes this week! You are one step closer to your very own clay animation video and for this next lesson we are going to dive deeper into prop and character design, working with clay, and imagining our ‘Worlds’.

Supplies you will need for class:

Lesson 1 worksheets and Welcome Packet

ruler (or straight edge)

scissors

color pencils, pens, markers, crayons (whatever you have)

school glue (glue stick preferred)

Clay and Modeling Tools

A poster board, foam core board (or any blank paper if you don’t have these)

We won’t be working with stop-motion yet, but if you want to download and start playing with the app you can find it here ——> stop motion studio app (there is a paid version but we will only be needing the free one)

In your spare time this week, please watch the following two-part documentary about the history of Clay Animation.

And if any students have clay animation videos or clips they would like to share with the class, email me the link or have them ready to screen share during class time.

Can’t wait to Clay with you tomorrow!
